The Paper Trails Book Arts Festival
is today starting at 11 a.m. There will be more than 20 bookbinders, papermakers, calligraphers, and paper artists. Meet local artists and view their wares at King’s Books, 218 St. Helens Ave., Tacoma. Admission is free. 253-272-8801,

Head out to Maris Farms, 25001 Sumner Buckley Highway, Buckley, for the pumpkin patch-pick in the field, cow train rides, corn maze, haunted trail and more. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, corn maze open 3-6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekends. The University Wind Ensemble
