He’s British. He’s a TV actor. So it might be a little hard to picture Hugh Laurie, otherwise known as the irascible Dr. House, singing the blues. But that’s what he’ll be doing on Monday in a 7:30 p.m. show at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall.

Laurie plays piano and guitar as well as sings – accompanied by The Copper Bottom Band

Along with the band Laurie will perform music from his 2011 blues album, Let Them Talk.

Though he’s best known for his role on the FOX drama “House” Laurie has played piano, sung and written music for most of his career.

Band members include Jay Bellerose (percussion), David Piltch (bass), Patrick Warren (pump organ, keyboard and accordion), Vincent Henry, saxophone, clarinet and harmonica) and Kevin Breit (guitars and mandola).

For tickets visit www.seattlesymphony.org, call the Seattle Symphony Ticket Office at 206-215-4747, or visit the Ticket Office in Benaroya Hall, on the corner of Union Street and Third Avenue. Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturday, 1–6 p.m.
