The new Experience Music Project exhibit “AC/DC: Australia’s Family Jewels” kicks off April 27 with some headbangin’ events. The all-female AC/DC tribute band Hell’s Belles will perform and there will be a Q&A and book signing with author Anthony Bozza.
The EMP show about the long running and hard rocking Aussie band AC/DC runs April 28 to September 29. The group has sold 71 million albums in the U.S. and makes appearances in Tacoma every couple of years.
The exhibition will have more than 400 artifacts including instruments, gig posters, lyrics, and costumes including an Angus Young schoolboy outfit.
Hell’s Belles Concert
The Angus Young approved tribute band will perform on Friday, April 27 in an 8 p.m. show. All ages, bar with ID. Hell’s Belles consists of Mandy Reed (bass guitar), Adrian Conner (lead guitar), Lisa Brisbois (rhythm guitar), Laura D (drums), and Australian-born Amber Saxon (vocals). Tickets: $10 EMP members, $20 General admission.
