Pitbull will perform at JBLM Thursday

First, the good news: Rapper Pitbull is performing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord on Thursday. Now, the bad news: Forget about seeing him if you don’t have access to the base.

Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Perez, apparently is so big now he has more than one nickname: Mr. 305 and Mr. Worldwide. Whatever you call him he’ll be performing in a free show for JBLM soldiers, airmen and their families (18 and over only).

Pitbull has collaborated with T-Pain, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer. He racked up five nominations for this year’s Billboard Music Awards. His single

‘Escape Routes’ and ‘ABDC’ reality show updates

It seems like I can’t open my email anymore without getting a notice about a local appearing on a reality TV show. Last year we had Tacomans Vicci Martinez on “The Voice” and special effects artist Marcel Banks on “Face-Off.” Earlier this year Parkland cupcake baker Amber Serrano was on “Cupcake Wars.”

Currently, Alex Porter, 13, of Graham, and Bailey Anderson, 15, of Tacoma are competing on “America’s Best Dance Crew” on MTV and Puyallup brothers Drew and Derek Konzelman are driving their Ford Escapes on NBC’s “Escape Routes.”

The two teens and their crew, Rated Next Generation,
