Norah Jones announced her new world tour today. The jet lag-inducing itinerary ping pongs back and forth between Europe and North America. The closest venues to us are Portland and Redmond in mid-August. Tickets will go on sale the weekend of March 30th.

The tour kicks off May 25 in Paris, heads to North America, then back to Europe and finally back to North America in August. The Portland stop is on August 17 at Edgefield Winery and the concert at Redmond’s Marymoor Amphitheater is on August 18.

Jones brings her unique voice to a style of music that even she is hard pressed to label. She just debuted songs from her soon-to-be-released album Little Broken Hearts at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

The Associated Press called the new songs “stylish yet deeply emotional,” and added that the album is “a departure for Jones and another step in her evolution.”
