Singer-actress Kristin Chenoweth set for May show in Seattle

Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth will perform at 7:30 p.m. May 9 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Prices range from $31.25 to $121.25.

Oklahoma-born Chenoweth rose to fame on Broadway with her tiny size and big voice. She has a long list of Broadway credits, including “Wicked,” “Promises, Promises” and the 1999 revival of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,” for which she won a Tony Award.

Chenoweth has also found success on TV. She played Annabeth Schott on “The West Wing” and Olive Snook on “Pushing Daisies.” The “Pushing Daisies” role earned her an Emmy Award in 2009.

She’s earned two Emmy nominations for her recurring role as April Rhodes on “Glee.” And parents and children might know her from her “Sesame Street” appearances as Miss Noodle.

Chenoweth now stars in the new ABC series “GCB,” which premiered on March 4. Chenoweth released her first country album, “Some Lessons Learned,” in September 2011.
