The Tacoma-Lakewood Coin Club will celebrate its 55th anniversary with a reunion banquet on Saturday night. All current and former members are welcome to attend.

The banquet will be at King Oscars Restaurant at 88th and South Hosmer in South Tacoma.  A pre-dinner get together with a no-host bar will start at 6 p.m. with a buffet dinner starting at 7 p.m.  The evening’s speaker will be Sacramento author Jeff Shevlin, who is known as the “So Called Guy” because of his interest in so-called dollars.

Tickets are $30 per person or $55 per couple. It is important to make reservations as soon as possible as time is short. For more information, email members.tlccbourse@comcast.net or call club president David Schmidt at 253-565-6565.

The original Tacoma club was founded by collector Jack Rand in 1957. In 1988, the club merged with the Lakewood club.
