Learn about a variety of local goods and services at the South Sound Sustainability Expo at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, 1500 Broadway, Tacoma. Topics include transportation alternatives, green construction, energy conservation, waste minimization and recycling, alternative energy sources and global climate change initiative. It’s from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, and it’s free.

Head out to Tacoma Mall for a free day of learning about what’s new to help keep your family in good health at the Healthy Family Show. There will be wellness demonstrations, prizes and a Cutest Child contest for kids ages 0-9. Take the opportunity to check out hot trends and health information and learn about camps, classes and services from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in the Macy’s Court.

It’s all about girl and woman power at the annual Northwest Women’s Show this weekend at CenturyLink Field and Event Center, 800 Occidental Ave. S., Seattle. The event features 400 exhibits, five entertainment stages, celebrities, more than 70 seminars, trendy fashions, authors and beauty and spa services. Hours are noon-8 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15. Go to nwwomenshow.com.

Immerse yourself in the world of miniature dollhouses and accessories at the annual Seattle Dollhouse Miniature Show this weekend at Seattle Center. More than 65 dealers and vendors are coming from all over the United States, Canada and England to sell handcrafted and commercially produced goods and accessories for dollhouses, scale miniature roomboxes and vignettes.
