The movie version of “The Hunger Games,” based on the best-selling young adult literary phenomenon by Suzanne Collins, is opening March 23. The stars will be on a cross-country mall tour next week and one of those stops is at University Village in Seattle.
Stars Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Liam Hemsworth (Gale) and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) will stir up fan fervor with a Q and A and merchandising giveaways.
Gates open at noon and the Q and A will be at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot immediately in front of the Microsoft Store at 2623 University Village Street in Seattle. It’s free and open to everyone.
If you are unfamiliar with the story line here’s a short synopsis:
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in The Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
