Grant Peeples plays Morso August 6

Singer/songwriter Grant Peeples plays at Morso August 6 as part of his West Coast debut.

Peeples’ songs are a mix of satire and social commentary on the state of America as he sees it. His official bio sums it up nicely…

He violates the “ No Trespassing” signs, peeks over the backyard fences of the culture. Then he picks up his guitar and lets you know what he’s seen–unapologetically–like a poet would anchor the Six O’clock News.

Peeples lived for 11 years on an island off the coast of Nicaragua. When he returned to the U.S. in 2006, he found the country changed by the Internet, cell phones, and what he calls the “mall building culture.”

Grant, who will perform acoustically, has been on the national folk charts with the release of his new album, Okra and Ecclesiastes.
