Who needs “The Voice” when you can catch Tacoma native Vicci Martinez live on Sunday? The singer-songwriter who recently shot to national fame on the NBC talent show will be performing a solo acoustic set at Art on the Ave.
Martinez will perform around 2:30 p.m. on the main stage in front of Jazzbones on Tacoma’s Sixth Avenue. Art on the Ave runs 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday between Cedar and Trafton streets. It’s a free event. Among the songs Martinez will perform will be several from “The Voice.”
Martinez also announced Friday that she’ll soon head into the studio to record a CD to be released in fall.
In addition to Martinez’s appearance Sunday she has several other shows in the area this month and next. And a second late show has been added to her appearance at the Triple Door.
