Singer-songwriter Josh Groban is bringing his “Straight To You” world tour to Key Arena for an August 27 concert. It’s the first tour in four years for the entertainer.
Groban started rehearsing this week for the tour which kicks off May 12 in New Orleans.
Groban will perform selections from his best-selling albums, including his self-titled 2001 debut, 2003’s Closer, and 2006’s Awake, along with songs from his recent platinum album, Illuminations.
In a press release Groban said, “Gearing up for a tour, there is always the anticipation of something special; the excitement of traveling across the country and the world, of meeting and sharing with the fans, of exploring musical worlds in a way not possible in the studio. It is the most fun I have in my whole career and I want it to be the most fun my fans have as well. The ‘Straight To You’ Tour will be all about this goal.”
In a nod to his fans and technology Groban will answer questions texted to him before and during the concerts.
