Gym Class Heroes, The Devil Wears Prada among bands in Vans Warped Tour 2011

The Vans Warped Tour will touch down at the Gorge Amphitheatre on Aug. 13.

Tickets for the concert in George, Wash., go on sale Friday, otherwise known as April Fools Day. The tour press release boasts that the tour is famous for “bringing skate/punk/action sports and youth culture to the forefront on a global scale.”

The national tour’s main stage artists are: 3OH!3, A Day To Remember, Gym Class Heroes, The Devil Wears Prada and Asking Alexandria. The acts will join an eclectic mix of bands prominent in the worlds of punk, indie, metal and hardcore, to rock, pop, electronic, reggae and hip-hop, according to the news release.

Other acts include: Jack’s Mannequin, Less Than Jake, Against Me!, Pepper, Madina Lake, D.R.U.G.S., Continental, Street Dogs, Lucero, Yelawolf, We Came As Romans, Foxy Shazam, Woe Is Me, Black Veil Brides, Big Chocolate, Dance Gavin Dance, MC Lars, Every Avenue, The Ready Set, Winds of Plague, Simple Plan, Eyes Set To Kill, The Wonder Years, The Word Alive, Big B., Relient K., Middle Class Rut, Electric Touch, Permanent Bastards, Go Radio, The Steelwells, The Aggrolites and Unwritten Law, plus many more. Paul Simon adds another concert in Seattle

Tickets go on sale Friday, April Fool’s Day, to see legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon at the Showbox at The Market in Seattle on April 17.

The Showbox performance is among several new club dates just added to Simon’s U.S. spring tour. Simon previously announced he will launch the tour at the WAMU Theater in Seattle on April 15. That concert is billed as the 103.7 The Mountain 20th Anniversary Party.

The Refugees play Morso in Gig Harbor


The Refugees

The trio of women that is The Refugees play Morso Thursday in Gig Harbor in an 8 p.m. show.

Cindy Bullens, Deborah Holland and Wendy Waldman formed their group in 2007. Individually, they have more than three decades in the industry, with nineteen solo albums and multiple Grammy Award nominations featuring musical styles that blend country, rock, folk, and Americana.
