Al Jarreau teams up with Tacoma Symphony at State Fair

Al Jarreau will perform with the Tacoma Symphony at the Washington State Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 10, it was announced today. Tickets are now on sale.

The seven-time Grammy Award winner Jarreau’s long career has produced hits like “So Good” and “We’re In This Love Together.”

Bon Jovi is #1 worldwide tour of the year

On Oct. 5 you’ll get a chance to be experience the world’s number one touring band: Bob Jovi.

The band made the top-grossing spot with “BON JOVI Because We Can – The Tour,” according to Pollstar Magazine. The tour will land at the Tacoma Dome on Oct. 5.

The tour, which began in February 2013, has sold out venues around the world, bringing in over $142 million.

The tour features a state-of-the-art production which emulates a larger-than-life classic 1959 Buick Electra. To view the stadium stage production—known as “Sofia”—in action, click: http://bit.ly/13JcGgY.

Urban coop tour, free family fun festival, milk carton derby, Old Town blues festival, Rhubarb Days and more events this weekend

If you have you been thinking of keeping urban chickens and are wondering where to start, then the Tacoma Urban Coop Tour is for you. Sponsored by GardenSphere, the tour explores several local chicken coops where you can learn about coops, raising hens and what is involved from those doing it now.

Macklemore adds third Seattle show

First there was only one. Now there are three Macklemore and Ryan Lewis shows at Seattle’s KeyArena.

The duo announced today that they are adding a third show to their tour-wrapping stop in their hometown. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday.

“The first two nights sold out very quickly and we don’t want you guys stuck dealing with scalpers. So get ‘em quick tomorrow,” Macklemore wrote on his Facebook page today.

Pearl Jam announces Dec. 6 show at KeyArena

Hometown favorite Pearl Jam announced today it will play a Dec. 6 show at Seattle’s KeyArena. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 27 at the KeyArena Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone toll free at 800-745-3000.

The two-leg, twenty-four date North American tour kicks-off in Pittsburgh on Oct. 11. The second leg of the tour begins in Dallas on Nov. 15 and closes in Seattle.

Randy Travis hospitalized in critical condition

Country music star Randy Travis was gravely ill today after being diagnosed with a heart infection. The singer has a show scheduled for Aug. 18 at the Emerald Queen Casino.
