Sumner High School presents ‘Fiddler on the Roof’

The curtain goes up at the Sumner Performing Arts Center, 1707 Main St., at 7 p.m. on May 2, 3 and 4. A matinee performance will be held at 2 p.m. on May 4.

Tickets are $10 for adults. Box office opens one hour before the show.

The performance is under the direction of drama teacher Rachel Street and choir director Karlene Miles.

The musical centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. The original Broadway production of the show opened
