The public is invited to comment on rules being proposed by the body that will oversee charter schools in Washington state.

A public hearing of the state Charter School Commission was held earlier this month in Spokane, and a second hearing will take place in Tacoma. That hearing is set for 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. July 30 in the Tacoma Public Schools Central Administration Building, 601 S. Eighth Street.

The commission will also be holding a day-long meeting in Tacoma that day. It is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the same location.

Written comments can also be submitted by mail or e-mail before Aug. 19.

Send written comments to: P.O. Box 43113, Olympia, WA 98504

The proposed rules are located on the Commission’s webpage
