Educators, others meet in Tacoma to learn about ‘Closing the Opportunity Gap’

Educators and others will gather June 28 at the University of Washington Tacoma for a conference titled “Closing the Opportunity Gap.”

The day-long event will feature presentations from community agencies, schools, mental health professionals and others. They will speak on student social and emotional needs, school discipline, juvenile justice issues and more.

The conference is sponsored by the UWT’s Center for Strong Schools.
