Deputies arrest man suspected of stabbing Spanaway woman in October robbery while dressed as deliveryman

Deputies have arrested a man they say stabbed a Spanaway woman while posing as a deliveryman at her home in October, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said today.

Details about how detectives found and arrested the 40-year-old man Saturday were not immediately available.

Deputies had previously said a man dressed in a brown uniform and carrying a box broke into the 57-year-old woman’s home in the 19600 block of 15th Avenue Court East, stabbed her, tied her up, and took off in her car just before 10 a.m. Oct. 19.

UPDATED: 2 injured in stabbing near South Prairie

UPDATE as of 2:22 p.m. East Pierce crews responded to a home in a small housing development between South Prairie and Orting at 12:30 p.m. A man with possibly life-threatening injuries was taken to a trauma center, and a woman was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to East Pierce.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was investigating, spokesman Ed Troyer said. He did not provide specifics about the incident Sunday.

Woman stabbed to death in South Hill area identified

A woman who was stabbed to death in her South Hill-area home Saturday morning has been identified as Joyce West, 54, by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

West’s 40-year-old daughter allegedly stabbed her mother to death, while West’s husband called 911, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said Saturday.

The woman died at a home in the 13000 block of 158th Street Court East.

The suspect also had injuries, and was taken to a hospital Saturday before being booked into the Pierce County Jail.

Two men charged in fatal Federal Way stabbing

King County prosecutors charged Jorge Santos-Rocha, 24, and Santiago De La Cruz, 27, with second-degree murder Wednesday afternoon in connection with the stabbing death of a man outside a Federal Way bar Saturday.

The defendants were also charged with second-degree assault for hitting and injuring another man with a vehicle, prosecutors said.

According to charging documents:

Officers were called to a fight at a bar in the 2000 block of South 320th Street.

They arrived to find the body of 34-year-old Luis Garcia Caceres in the parking lot.

Bail set at $1 million for suspect in fatal stabbing in Federal Way

A 24-year-old man arrested Saturday for investigation of a fatal stabbing outside a Federal Way bar is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
King County Superior Court set Jorge Arturo Santos Rocha’s bail at $1 million today. The deadline for prosecutors to charge the suspect is Oct. 17.

Suspect in bank stabbing arrested in Federal Way

A man suspected of stabbing a security guard at a Seattle Bank of America this morning has been arrested in Federal Way, Seattle police say.

The man allegedly stabbed the guard as he left the bank at 1201 Madison Street at 10:41 a.m., after he asked about opening an account and told a teller that he would be back to do the paperwork, police said.

The victim suffered two stab wounds to his abdomen that were not life-threatening.

Deputies arrest South Hill stabbing suspect

A man was arrested for allegedly  stabbing another man in  South Hill early this morning, KIRO-TV reports.

Deputies told KIRO the stabbing happened about 2 a.m. near Meridian Avenue and 118th Street.

The victim ran to a nearby house for help and was later taken to the hospital for multiple stab wounds that were not thought to be life-threatening, KIRO reports.

The suspect was arrested at his home soon after.
