Trufant football memorabilia stolen after charity auction

A U-haul truck of football memorabilia and supplies from a charity auction for the Trufant Family Foundation was stolen the morning of May 19 from a hotel parking lot in South Renton, according to Renton police.

The truck was found in the area of Lake Desire, between Renton and Maple Valley, but its cargo from the event the night before was gone.

The “Dress to Impress” fundraising gala was to benefit the foundation started by NFL cornerback Marcus Trufant in 2003, which supports youth programs and aims to help disadvantaged youths “realize their dreams,” according to the foundation’s website.

Bonney Lake woman, 60, dies after car slams into Renton building

A Bonney Lake woman working at a Renton insurance office was killed Wednesday when a car slammed halfway through the building.

The woman was identified by Renton police as Kaye Hall, 60.

The crash happened shortly before 11 a.m. at the Farmers Insurance office in downtown Renton.

Hall was trapped under the car when it crashed through the office. Firefighters freed her and performed CPR, but she could not be revived.

The driver of the car was an 80-year-old woman who appeared uninjured after the crash. The cause of the crash was not known.

Missing Renton woman with schizophrenia found safe

A Renton woman who had been missing since last week was found safe, Renton police said today.

Krisden Daniels, 41, had last been seen leaving her home in the 12200 block of Southeast Petrovitsky Road last Wednesday.

Police said she had not been taking her prescription consistently or eating regularly, and they considered her endangered.

UPDATED: Renton police looking for missing 82-year-old woman

UPDATE 6:20 p.m.: Gould was found in South Seattle and relatives are taking her home.

 

Renton police are looking for missing 82-year-old Diana Gould.

She left her apartment this morning or early afternoon in the 900 block of Harrington Avenue Northeast, police said.

Her family is worried, because she recently moved to the area and is not familiar with it, police added.

Gould is five-feet, six-inches tall, about 165 pounds, and has short blonde hair, police said.

Anyone who has seen Gould or who has information about where she may be is asked to call 911 or the Renton
