8 arrested in prostition sting in Tacoma’s South End

Tacoma police officers arrested eight men Thursday during a prostitution sting in the South End.

The men were booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of soliciting prostitution.

The department’s community liaison officers, gang unit and members of the special investigations unit participated in the operation, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

11 men arrested in prostitution sting in Tacoma

Tacoma police patrol and undercover officers arrested 11 men on during a prostitution sting Thursday night along Pacific Avenue in the South End of the city, the department reported.

Ten men were arrested on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute. The other was arrested on suspicion of loitering for the purposes of prostitution.

Prostitution sting nets 10 in Tacoma’s South End

Tacoma police arrested 10 men during a prostitution sting last week along the southern end of Pacific Avenue.

Residents and business owners in the area of 92nd Street and Pacific Avenue had been complaining about prostitution activity, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

The department’s special investigations unit, gang team, the Sector 4 community liaison officers, other officers and federal immigration agents conducted an undercover prostitution operation in the area Thursday.
