Washington State Patrol troopers arrested one man early today after he allegedly tried to flee from them in a stolen car.

The pursuit began just before midnight in the area of state Route 7 and 188th Street, trooper Guy Gill said.

A trooper had spotted a 2005 Acura MDX that didn’t have its lights on. When the trooper started to stop the car, it took off.

The car sped through stop lights and stop signs and, at times, went more than 80 mph, Gill said.

A woman was injured and a man arrested early today after a police pursuit in Bonney Lake.

The woman suffered minor injuries after she got out of the fleeing truck and was ran over by the truck’s rear passenger wheel, Bonney Lake police reported. She refused medical treatment at the scene and was not taken to hospital.

The incident began just after 3 a.m. A Bonney Lake police officer tried to stop a truck that was driving recklessly in the 19800 block of 100th Street East, police reported.

Pierce County prosecutors have charged a 24-year-old man after he allegedly led police on a high-speed chase from the southern end of Pierce County to south King County early Thursday.

Charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle were filed against Serhiy O. Prostokin on Friday.

Charging documents provide the following information:

A Washington State Patrol trooper was stopped at the Mounts Road on-ramp to northbound Interstate 5 about 1 a.m. Thursday. The trooper spotted a motorcycle speeding north, passing vehicles.

Tacoma police arrested a man Sunday afternoon after he allegedly shoplifted from an East Side convenience store, then led officers on a high-speed chase.

The incident began about 3 p.m. The suspect went into the 7-Eleven at East 38th Street and McKinley Avenue and shoplifted items, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

A confrontation ensued inside the store. The suspect fled in a vehicle as a Tacoma police sergeant pulled into the parking lot.

A stolen car that had been fleeing from Lakewood police crashed into a truck at the intersection of 72nd Street East and Canyon Road early today.

The crash sent the stolen Nissan 300ZX spinning. The driver, identified as a 37-year-old Eatonville man, was partially ejected. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma for treatment, Lakewood police Lt. Chris Lawler said.

The truck driver complained of foot pain and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.

Pierce County prosecutors have charged a 21-year-old man after he allegedly fired shots in the air at an apartment complex, led deputies on a chase and crashed a car into a detached garage.

Brandon R. Crews was arraigned Monday on charges of drive-by shooting, felony eluding, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and obstructing a law enforcement officer. He was being held in Pierce County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Pierce County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man early today after he allegedly prowled South Hill homes, rammed a patrol car and jumped over fences in an attempt to escape officers.

The 25-year-old man was bitten by a police dog and suffered a leg injury, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said. He’s been booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault, felony eluding and residential burglary.

Deputies were called just after 2 a.m. today. Callers reported that a man was prowling cars and stealing in the Sunrise development area off South Hill, Troyer said.

Lakewood police Lt. Heidi Hoffman reports that a Lakewood officer spotted a stolen vehicle in the 8800 block of South Tacoma Way. The vehicle turned east onto 84th Street. As it approached Interstate 5, the officer and a sergeant initiated a traffic stop.
