Firefighters extinguished a garage electrical fire in Parkland this morning.

Central Pierce Fire and Rescue crews responded around 10 a.m. to the 1300 block of 119th Street S. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a 20 foot by 30 foot detached garage. There were no injuries. The cause was improperly installed electrical wiring, according to the Pierce County Fire Marshal’s Office.
