Owner of Tacoma medical marijuana dispensary arrested

Tacoma police have arrested a 38-year-old employee of a medical marijuana dispensary on suspicion of drug-related charges.

Investigators booked the man into Pierce County Jail shortly after noon today on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.

The man was arrested at his Tacoma home as part of an ongoing investigation into activity at the Tacoma Hemp Company, which is located near South Fourth Street and Tacoma Avenue, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Charges expected Thursday in Tacoma pot club bust

Two men arrested Tuesday during a bust on a Tacoma medical marijuana dispensary are scheduled to appear in court today.

The men were booked into Pierce County Jail on drug-related charges Tuesday afternoon and later bailed out.

They are scheduled for to return to court this afternoon, when charges are expected to be filed at that time, the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office reported Wednesday. The News Tribune is not naming the men because they’ve not been charged in the case.

UPDATED: Law enforcement busts Tacoma medical marijuana dispensary

South Sound law enforcement officers served three warrants this morning in connection with an investigation in a Tacoma-based medical marijuana dispensary.

The warrants were served at two Tacoma addresses (a home and an office building) and an Olalla home this morning, the West End Narcotics Enforcement Team reported.

Law enforcement served the warrants as part of an investigation into North End Club 420, a Tacoma exchange for medical marijuana patients. The club is one of three new exchanges in the city, The News Tribune reported in February.
