Tacoma police arrested a 56-year-old man Wednesday night on suspicion of trying to lure a 3-year-old girl at a Sixth Avenue bowling alley.

The man was booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of child luring.

The incident occurred about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday at Tower Lanes, 6323 Sixth Ave. The girl’s father told Tacoma police that he had spotted the suspect wandering around the bowling alley, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. The man appeared to be very intoxicated.

Lakewood police are searching for a man who tried to lure a 16-year-old girl into his car this morning near her bus stop.

The girl refused. She told Lakewood police she’d never seen the man, Lakewood police Lt. Heidi Hoffman said.

The teen told police a man in a late model, silver hatchback contacted her about 6:15 a.m. near 146th Street Southwest and Woodbrook Road Southwest.

The man asked the girl if she wanted a ride and she declined. The man drove away but then did a U-turn and came back, Hoffman said.

A man wanted for luring a Bonney Lake football player to a library and trying to get a piggy back ride has turned himself into police.

The man went to Bonney Lake police about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the department reported. He was arrested without incident on suspicion of one count of fourth-degree assault.

Bonney Lake police allege the man lured a Bonney Lake High School football player to the library Monday with the ruse of offering to help with a college term paper interview. During the contact, the man started acting strangely and the teen decided to leave.
