New youth Internet safety program for schools introduced today

The state Attorney General and schools chief will announce a new youth Internet safety program this morning.

Attorney General Rob McKenna and state Superintendent Randy Dorn will discuss the new program during a press conference at 11 a.m.

The agencies are teaming up with the Entertainment Software Association Foundation and Web Wise Kids to put this new safety program in 70 schools throughout the state.

Web Wise Kids, a non-profit organization, uses video games to teach youth how to protect themselves against online predators, bullies and scammers and warns them about illegal downloading.
