Charges filed against girlfriend of accused gunman in deadly Edgewood robbery

Pierce County prosecutors have filed charges against the girlfriend of the alleged shooter in a deadly Edgewood home-invasion robbery.

Prosecutors charged Jenna Nicole Ford, 18, on Tuesday with three counts of first-degree rendering criminal assistance. A warrant has been issued for her arrest. Charging documents indicate she has been in Arkansas training for the Army National Guard.

UPDATED: Deputies investigate home-invasion robbery of mom, child

Pierce County sheriff’s deputies are searching for three men in connection with a home-invasion robbery that injured a mother at a house on Canyon Road East this morning.

The men entered the home in the 14800 block of Canyon Road East about 3:30 a.m., deputies reported. The homeowner and her toddler were asleep inside at the time.

The woman told deputies the suspects woke her up, demanded cash and the keys to her vehicle. The suspects hit her over the head at least once and ransacked her home for valuables, deputies reported.

Benefit dinner Friday for family of slain Edgewood father

The Bennest Karate School is hosting a spaghetti dinner Friday night to benefit the Edgewood family victimized in a deadly home-invasion robbery last month.

The dinner is from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Edgewood Grange, 1806 Meridian Ave. E., in Edgewood. There will also be a raffle and bake sale. The suggested donation for the dinner is $10.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Sanders family. James Sanders, 43, was killed, his wife tied up and his teenage son pistol whipped when four robbers ransacked their home the night of April 28.

Edgewood slaying suspects arraigned, face added charges

Each of the three men charged in last month’s deadly Edgewood home-invasion robbery pleaded not guilty this afternoon to the charges against them.

Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner Patrick Oishi ordered Kiyoshi Higashi, Joshua Reese and Clabon Berniard each held in jail in lieu of $2 million bail.

Three men to be arraigned today in Edgewood home-invasion slaying

The three men accused of killing an Edgewood father during a home-invasion robbery last month will make their first appearances today in a Pierce County courtroom.

The arraignments of 22-year-old Kiyoshi Higashi, 23-year-old Clabon T. Berniard and 20-year-old Joshua Reese are scheduled for this afternoon.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has released surveillance photos of a woman pawning jewelry stolen in a deadly home-invasion robbery in Edgewood.

The images show Amanda Knight, 21, in a San Francisco pawn shop.

Woman had pawned ring stolen in Lake Stevens robbery, police say

A woman charged in a deadly home-invasion in Edgewood had pawned a ring stolen during a similar-styled robbery in Lake Stevens just days earlier.

Amanda Knight, 21, used her driver’s license to make the sale at an Auburn Way pawn shop, Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said Wednesday. Investigators are in the process of getting video surveillance of the transaction and recovering the ring.

Third suspect surrenders in deadly Edgewood home-invasion robbery

6:30 UPDATE: The third suspect, 21-year-old Amanda Christine Knight, has turned herself in at Sumner, according to Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer.

Pierce County sheriff’s detectives have identified and charged three suspects in last week’s home-invasion robbery that killed an Edgewood father. Tuesday, they were still working to identify the fourth.

Two of the suspects, 22-year-old Kiyoshi Alan Higashi and 20-year-old Joshua Nathan Reese, are in a California jail after a traffic stop over the weekend.
