Federal Way man charged with identity theft, forgery

A Federal Way man faces charges of second-degree identity theft and forgery after he allegedly faked court documents to establish four false names in Washington.

Steven Daniel McGee, 35, used the aliases to open bank accounts, obtain loans and work at two credit unions while collecting food stamps, court documents state. He was arraigned Feb. 12 in Pierce County Superior Court and is being held in the Pierce County Jail with bail set at $100,000.

Also according to court documents:

Since March 2000, McGee has used the names Brooke Daniel Parker, Regan Parker Stephens, Parker Daniel McGee-Stephens and Robin Drew

Federal Way woman sought in theft, Medicaid fraud case

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 25-year-old Federal Way woman accused of bilking the state to pay for her grandfather’s Medicaid bills months after he died.

The state Attorney General’s Office has charged Nina Silchuk with first-degree theft and defrauding Medicaid, a federal and state program that provides funding for the poor. She failed to appear for her arraignment Thursday in King County Superior Court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Silchuk was the government-funded care provider for her grandfather, Lawrence Whitish. The Attorney General’s Office says Whitish died Aug. 12, 2008. However, Silchuk

Two sought in Gig Harbor burglary, fraud case

Pierce County sheriff’s investigators are trying to identify two people suspected of burglarizing a Gig Harbor home, stealing $10,000 worth of jewelry and other items and fraudulently using stolen credit cards.

Surveillance images of the man and woman were released today in hopes someone recognizes them. In addition, Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to arrests and charges filed in the case.

The burglary occurred the morning of Aug. 31 at a house on 35th Street Northwest. Sometime between 10:15 and 11:30 a.m.,  the suspects forced their way inside through a locked front door,

Two sought in theft, credit card fraud case

University Place sheriff’s deputies needs the public’s help in finding two people suspected of credit card fraud and theft.

The suspects – a man and woman – were captured on surveillance cameras at a grocery store in University Place. Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers released images of the suspects today in hopes the public can help identify them.

Deputies reported a woman shopping in the grocery store on Bridgeport Way had her wallet stolen just after 4 p.m. Aug. 24.

Within 10 minutes, two suspects used a credit card stolen from the woman’s wallet to buy a $1,400 television, $300 worth
