Lakewood police are searching for the culprit who cut through fences at two businesses and stole 500 pounds of copper wire from one of them over the weekend.
The burglaries and theft were discovered Sunday.
An employee at Trugreen Lawn Care & Landscaping discovered the first burglary Sunday morning. Someone had cut through the company’s fence at 8201 Durango St. S.W. but didn’t take anything, Lakewood Lt. Chris Lawler said.
Later in the day, an employee at WOTC Scrap Metal, 8129 Durango St. S.W., noticed a man-sized hole had been cut into the business’ fence. The thieves stole 500 pounds …
