Law enforcement to target high-risk DUI crash roads on Cinco de Mayo

Local, county and state law enforcement are planning to prevent and intercept drunk drivers throughout Western Washington starting Saturday, in preparation for people taking to the roads after celebrating Cinco de Mayo Sunday.

Officers will target roads that are at high risk for impaired driving crashes, including in Tacoma, Puyallup, Federal Way, Auburn, Kent, and in Snohomish and King counties.

Officers will be able to take arrestees to a State Patrol Mobile Impaired Driving Unit in Kent, in order to quickly get back to patrolling.
