Man robs Spanaway bank branch, claims to have a bomb
Pierce County sheriff’s detectives are working to identify a man who claimed he had a bomb while he robbed a Spanaway bank branch Monday afternoon.
Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers released surveillance images of the robber today and announced a reward in the quest to identify him.
The man walked into the Twin Star Credit Union, 13505 Pacific Ave. S., about 3:15 p.m. Monday. He carried a black briefcase and went up to a counter, deputies reported.
The man told a teller he had a bomb and demanded cash. He took an undisclosed amount of money and ran from the bank. …
