Tacoma police are asking for the public’s help to find one of two 16-year-old boys charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Tacoma man earlier this month.

A felony warrant was issued for James “JJ” Stimson Jr. last week.He is 5 feet, 6 inches, 140 pounds, and is known to frequent the Salishan area of Tacoma, according to police.

Officers say he should be considered armed and dangerous.David Watson, 45, died Nov. 18 after being shot once in the torso.

Police looking for robbers of Tacoma convenience stores

Tacoma police are asking for the public’s help to identify suspects in a series of at least four armed robberies of convenience stores in the city in the past several weeks.

One or two suspects armed with a handgun demanded cash from a clerk in each of the robberies.

The suspects are described as white or Hispanic males with thin builds, ages 20 to 25 , and between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches.

The robberies were at:

• 6:45 p.m. on Thursday October 25th at Jubilee restaurant on S. 38th St.

Federal Way police are looking for a man they say fired a handgun at his girlfriend’s apartment earlier this month, almost hitting a 1-year-old child.

Dvontaveous Hoston fired the gun Oct. 15 during an argument with another resident of the apartment, police say.

The gun, described as a “rusty chrome .38 caliber,” was not recovered.

A felony warrant for reckless endangerment and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm was issued for Hoston’s arrest, police say.

Police consider Hoston armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should not contact him, and instead should call 911, according to police.

Woman and boyfriend charged with abandoning 3-year-old miss court date, warrant issued for arrests

A woman charged with abandoning her 3-year-old son in a Fife motel room while she went gambling failed to appear for a pretrial hearing Tuesday.

The court ordered two warrants for Sarah Huson’s arrest, said Fife prosecuting attorney John Rodabaugh.

The 22-year-old was charged last month with reckless endangerment, third-degree abandonment of a dependent person, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession.

Huson’s boyfriend, Scott Weems, was also charged in the incident and also failed to appear in court Tuesday.

Rodabaugh said the court docket shows that a third party called this morning to ask about Huson’s warrant options, and …

Soldier accused in torture case still not in custody

A Fort Lewis Stryker brigade soldier accused of kidnapping and torturing two women at his home remains on the loose.

A warrant was issued for staff Sgt. Nathan Ryan Smith’s arrested last week. He’s been charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping, four counts of first-degree rape, attempted rape, felony harassment, destroying evidence and first-degree arson.

Gas card giveway has netted five

Four men and one woman have been captured since Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers launched its gas card giveaway July 11.

Two men were wanted on domestic violence-related charges, one was wanted on gun possession, another on identity theft and the woman was wanted on second-degree assault.

It appears at least two men on a list of 50 wanted Pierce County offenders targeted in a gas card giveaway campaign have been arrested.

Alberto Molinari Jr. and Tyler McCoy were booked into Pierce County Jail on Friday, according to the online jail roster and in-custody arraignment list.

Their names are among 50 domestic violence violators, sex offenders, gangsters and other criminals who are being targeted in a campaign launched Friday by Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers.

Tacoma police detectives are searching for a 30-year-old man for unlawfully gun possession and in connection with a homicide earlier this year in the Old Town neighborhood.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of James D. Wamsley (pictured here). Pierce County prosecutors have charged Wamsley with first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

He’s described as white, 6 feet 1 and 190 pounds. He has dark blonde hair, blue eyes and sometimes sports a goatee.

King County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man suspecting of shoplifting and hitting two people with his car as he got away.

"The force the suspect used to get away turned the misdemeanor shoplifting offense into a felony robbery," Sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart said.

KING 5 is reporting this morning that Andrew Dahlquist, who’s been charged with murder in the death of a South Hill father, was spotted in the Hoquiam area.

Police were searching the area after he fled from a traffic stop, the television station reported on its web site.
