Hilltop Crip charged with raping cellmate in Pierce County Jail

A man recently convicted of two felonies in connection with the Hilltop Crips crackdown now faces allegations he raped a man in the Pierce County Jail.

Prosecutors last month charged Andre L. Bonds, 38, with three counts of second-degree rape. Not guilty pleas were entered on Bonds’ behalf at his arraignment this afternoon.

A man who shared a cell with Bonds in May told police the defendant sexually assaulted him three times. Bonds, who is 6 feet 5 inches tall and 230 pounds, threatened to beat the man if he resisted, court records state.

Two-time rapist gets 51-year prison term for Tacoma attacks

Pierce County Superior Court Judge Bryan Chushcoff today sentenced a man convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl to 51 years in prison.

A jury convicted Aaron Olson, 23, of two counts of second-degree rape last month. Prosecutors alleged he and another man – Anthony Emery Jr., also 23 – attacked the girl in May 2005.

Emery pleaded guilty last month and received 17 years, six months in prison. Chushcoff ordered that sentence to be served after Emery completes a 24-year term for another rape, according to court records.

Sheriff’s detectives looking for suspect in stranger rape in Covington

King County sheriff’s detectives are searching for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman last week after she left a fitness center in Covington.

The attack occurred just after midnight July 28 in the 27200 block of 172nd Avenue Southeast. The 21-year-old woman was walking to her car when someone ran up behind her, the King County Sheriff’s Office reported.

DNA match clinches arrest in Vashon Island rape case

A DNA hit led to an arrest Tuesday in a rape of a teen on Vashon Island in January.

A 27-year-old Vashon man was arrested in Seattle and booked into the King County Jail. Bail has been set at $500,000, and formal charges are expected tomorrow.

On Jan. 10, a 16-year-old girl was sleeping in her bedroom around 4 a.m. when a man came in the home through an unlocked door. He entered the girl’s room, raped her and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

Point Defiance sexual assault suspect arrested

Tacoma police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a mentally disabled man at the Point Defiance Boathouse Feb. 20.

Acting on a tip, officers spotted Jerry Albert Johnson Jr., 46, near the intersection of S. 15th Street and S. Yakima Avenue around noon Thursday and took him into custody without incident, according to Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum.

Johnson, who has been booked into the Pierce County Jail, faces a charge of second-degree rape. A bench warrant was released for his arrest on Tuesday.

The victim, a 24-year-old man fishing at the pier, was allegedly approached by Johnson.
