Special Commitment Center resident sentenced to 10 years for possessing child porn

A federal judge today sentenced a 70-year-old resident of the state’s Special Commitment Center for sexually violent offenders to 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography.

Keith Jonathon Rogers in December pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.

He was arrested in 2009 as part of a federal investigation of contraband smuggling at the facility.

Investigators said they found more than 350 images of child pornography on a computer in Roger’s room. The images mostly showed young girls being raped by men, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle.

Lacey man arrested in child porn investigation

A state task force has arrested a Lacey man suspected of dealing in sexually-explicit images of minors.


The investigation was conducted by the Washington State Patrol Missing and Exploited Children Task Force, which is comprised of detectives from the State Patrol and Lakewood and Puyallup Police Departments. Lacey police officers also assisted in this case, the State Patrol reported.
