Family searching for missing Bonney Lake teenage girl

The family of a missing 16-year-old Bonney Lake girl is asking for the public’s help in bringing her home.

Hailey Medford was last seen May 8 at White River High School in Buckley. Her stepmother said she may have been picked up by her boyfriend’s mother but has been unable to contact the woman.

Bonney Lake police said Hailey is listed as a runaway. Officers are investigating her whereabouts.

Anyone with information can call the Bonney Lake Police Department at 253-863-2218.

Hailey’s parents have created a Facebook page aimed at locating her.


Auburn man missing since April 11

Auburn police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 20-year-old man who has not been seen since April 11.

Robert Jacob Todd called a friend in south Auburn (Lakeland Hills) that day and told them he planned to walk to their home from the 4200 block of Auburn Way South, which was about five miles away.

He never arrived and has not been heard from since. He was reported missing April 15.

Todd planned to take various trails, including two near Dogwood/Forest Ridge Drive and White River Trail.

Couple charged, to be extradited after missing Montana boy found safe in Fife Sunday

The biological parents of a 1-year-old Montana boy have been charged with custodial interference and possessing a stolen vehicle, after they were found with the child and arrested by Fife police Sunday when an AMBER alert was issued for the boy.

Bryndi Gibson, 23, and Beau Blasius, 28, are accused of taking the child from his paternal grandparents’ home near Kalispell, Mont. Saturday night and heading to Washington.

They will be extradited to Flathead County, Mont. after the Pierce County case is finished, where they face charges of kidnapping, burglary and motor vehicle theft, according to prosecutors.

Vulnerable Kent woman still missing

A vulnerable woman missing since March 31 from a rehabilitation center in Kent has not been found, police said this morning.

Det. Melanie Frazier said police are following up on several tips as to Pamela Mitchell’s whereabouts, including a sighting at a Safeway grocery store at 210 Washington Avenue South. A passerby reported seeing a woman matching Mitchell’s description waiting for a bus.

Mitchell, 58, signed herself out of the Benson Heights Rehabilitation Center at 22410 Benson Rd. SE last Sunday to go to the grocery store and didn’t return.

She has no friends or family members in the area

UPDATED: Missing Puyallup man found safe

UPDATE as of 6:21 p.m.: Puyallup police said Dildine was found safe about 6:15 p.m. in the 500 block of 4th Street Northwest.

A resident who had received a reverse 911 call about the missing man recognized him and called 911.

INITIAL POST: Puyallup police said volunteer searchers will be going door-to-door in the neighborhood where a 71-year-old man is reportedly missing and asking permission to search properties.

Kent police looking for woman missing from rehabilitation facility since Sunday

Police are asking for the public to help find a vulnerable woman missing from the Benson Heights Rehabilitation Center since Sunday afternoon, Kent Detective Melanie Frazier said today.

Pamela J. Mitchell, 58, signed herself out of the facility at 22410 Benson Rd. SE to go to the grocery store and never came back, police said.

She has a history of leaving the center for periods of time, Frazier said, and has no friends or family in the area.

A social worker at the facility told police that Mitchell needs medication and has mental and physical disabilities.

Parkland man missing for five days found safe in Elk Plain

A 56-year-old Parkland man who was missing five days was found safe this morning.

An observant bus driver spotted Jeff Sautell hitchhiking near Mountain Highway East and 224th Street East in Elk Plain about 8 a.m. The school bus driver recognized Sautell and called Pierce County sheriff’s deputies, who found the car that had picked up Sautell parked at a business a few blocks away.

He was taken for a mental health evaluation, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

“We’re glad he’s OK and we’re checking to see what happened,” Troyer said. “He’d been living in the woods for five days.”

Deputies, family searching for Parkland man missing since Friday

Jeff Sautell’s family says he finished work at the Fredrickson Boeing plant Friday night, stopped to get groceries and made it home around the usual time of 11:30 p.m.

His wife heard him put down his belongings, but he never came to bed, she told her family.

They reported him missing from his Parkland home Saturday morning, when they saw his car, wallet and cell phone were at his home in the 1700 block of 128th Street East, son-in-law Fred Hornshuh said.

Deputies are searching for the man today, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.
