Lakewood police searching for missing man

Lakewood police are looking for clues to the whereabouts of a man who has been missing since March 12.

Faatoaga Ufuti was last seen about 1:45 p.m. March 12. His wife told police that it is unusual for him to leave and not call her.

No family members or friends have seen Ufuti either. He does not have any medical, suicidal or depression issues, police reported.

Ufuti was driving a white 1998 Plymouth Voyager van.

Lakewood police ask anyone who has seen Ufuti or know of his whereabouts to call (253) 830-5000.

Disappearance of Tacoma man considered suspicious

Tacoma police are asking for help locating a 55-year-old man who has not been seen for nearly a month. His disappearance is considered suspicious.

Ramon Moore has worked at Tacoma Cabinet & Fixture Co. for a decade and lives alone in a basement apartment in the 800 block of N. L Street. He did not notify anybody that he was planning to move. He has not come to work since April 12 and his family has not heard from him.

Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said Moore’s disappearance is out of character.

Federal Way police looking for teenage boy missing since Monday afternoon

The Federal Way Police Department is searching for a 16-year-old boy who didn’t return home from school Monday.

Nathan K. Duncan has runaway from home before but usually returns the same night. Police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said foul play is not suspected but they are concerned because Duncan has a “trusting nature.”

Duncan had gone to school on Monday. During the day, he’d been contacted about the possible theft of a cell phone, Federal Way police reported. His parents also were called.

Information sought in 2011 disappearance of King County man

King County sheriff’s detectives are renewing their push for information in the mysterious disappearance of a 32-year-old man nearly a year ago.

Detectives suspect Benjamin “Ben” Munoz is dead and foul play was involved.

“There does not appear to be any reason why he may be missing,” the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Munoz was last seen April 29, 2011. He lived with his father in the 11000 block of First Avenue Southwest.

Early on April 29, the father heard Munoz come home and go to bed. The father saw his son the next morning, then left the house.

Help sought to locate Parkland woman missing for a year

Friends and family members are asking for the public’s help in locating a 21-year-old Parkland woman who has not been seen in more than a year.

Ruthie Fawn Kindness disappeared in February 2011. She was last known to be living in Parkland around Pacific Avenue South and 126th Street South, according to a Facebook page titled “Where’s Ruthie?”

Kindness also spent time in Puyallup, Milton and Federal Way.

She is described as Native American with brown hair and brown eyes. She is about 5 feet 4 and 110 pounds.

Tacoma woman missing since Feb. 8

Tacoma police are searching for a 25-year-old woman who has not been seen since Feb. 8.

Yelena Plotnikova’s family last saw her near the 5700 block of East G Street. She left home on foot and does not have a vehicle or cell phone.

Plotnikova has gone missing three times in the past. She has not been found at any local hospitals.

Police are concerned about her safety because she has mental health issues and has made suicidal comments in the past, officer Naveed Benjamin said.

Missing Milton woman found dead

A 74-year-old woman with dementia who was missing in Milton last week was found dead.

King County Public Works employees found Oksoon Mulligan’s body Thursday afternoon near the intersection of South 360th Street and 28th Avenue South. The body was along a dirt road in the area of an old landfill, the Milton Police Department reported.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office conducting an autopsy on Mulligan last week. Her cause and manner of death are pending further tests.

Deputies seek information on missing Spanaway teen

Pierce County sheriff’s deputies are seeking information on an 18-year-old Spanaway man who went missing earlier this month.

Families and friends of Christopher Virdell last heard from him about 10 a.m. Feb. 9.

Co-workers became concerned when he didn’t show up at his job, where he was described as a “perfect” employee, deputies reported today.

Virdell was last seen as he left a friend’s residence on 23rd Street East in Spanaway. He was headed to a nearby bus stop.
