Police search for burglary suspect on JBLM after high speed pursuit ends in crash
Joint Base Lewis McChord officers have joined with other law enforcement agencies this afternoon to track down a burglary suspect who fled onto the base when the car he was in crashed on the Dupont-Steilacoom Road.
Thurston County Sheriff spokesman, Lt. Greg Elwin, said the man may have a handgun which was stolen in an earlier burglary in West Olympia.
The crash followed a high speed police pursuit of a car with the man and two others inside up Interstate 5 from Olympia shortly before noon, according to Thurston County Sheriff Lt. Greg Elwin.
