Police make arrest in Kent East Hill ‘tagging’ spree
Kent Police have arrested a 20-year-old Kent man in connection with more than 30 “taggings” on homes, businesses, apartment complexes, and other structures on Kent East Hill area.
Police first started to see the tag “YAPT” appear on public and private properties in August 2010, Kent police Lt. Pat Lowery said today. Police noted several variations to the tag, but determined that one person was responsible for the tagging.
In October, the suspect was contacted by Kent officers following a vandalism incident at a local shopping center. He was later released due to a lack of evidence.
