New website means new home for breaking crime stories, no more Lights and Sirens

Our breaking crime news will have a different home when The News Tribune’s new website launches Thursday morning.

Instead of posting to this blog, we’ll put our developing stories in the crime section of the new site, which will be live after the launch at www.thenewstribune.com/crime-news.

As always, our most important crime stories will also be featured on the homepage itself, and on the social media accounts of the paper and its breaking news reporters.

Executive Editor Karen Peterson explained the new site, including the decision to remove most of The News Tribune’s blogs, in her Sunday column.

Our old blog posts will be archived at blog.thenewstribune.com/crime.

Where we put our breaking news is changing, but the coverage itself and reporters who produce it aren’t.

Thank you for reading and making this transition with us.
