A former Kent family law attorney who ran a business involving youth baseball faces at least 15 years in prison after pleading guilty today to production of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

David Engle, 49, of Maple Valley, is set to be sentenced Oct. 21. He has been in jail since his arrest in November.

Authorities began investigating Engle after learning he bought 184 items from an international movie production company that is currently being prosecuted for child exploitation. He made the purchases 2005-2011.

After serving a search warrant at Engle’s home and storage locker, investigators found more than 500 videos of Engle molesting a young boy. They later discovered evidence that Engle molested a second boy, prosecutors said.

Those alleged offenses are being tried separately by the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

After searching Engle’s computers, DVDS and thumb drives, court records show he possessed tens of thousands of child pornography images and thousands of child pornography videos.
