STP cyclist hit by car near Roy

A Seattle-to-Portland Bicycle Classic rider was injured after being hit by a car near Roy Saturday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The male bicyclist was taken to the hospital with a possible broken ankle and minor abrasions, according to Trooper Guy Gill.

Ten thousand cyclists were expected to travel the 202.25 mile-route from Seattle to Portland Saturday and Sunday during the 34th annual event.
