Man shot in leg in South Tacoma

A shooting incident in South Tacoma Friday night or early Saturday morning put one man in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Tacoma police say the shooting occurred in the 9500 block of South Ash Street.

The victim claimed an unknown suspect shot him in the leg and then fled.

Responding officers recovered evidence at the scene but were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim’s injury is not life-threatening, according to police.
