Warrant issued for suspected car prowler in Fircrest ID theft case

hill-zachariahA warrant has been issued for a 20-year-old man charged in an identity theft case and wanted for several car prowls in Fircrest.

Pierce County prosecutors have charged Zachariah Hill with second-degree identity theft, two counts of second-degree possessing stolen property and one count of third-degree possessing stolen property.

Police arrested him June 11 after noticing he matched the description of a car prowler and burglar. In his backpack they allegedly found a Coach purse with identification and credit cards belonging to a woman whose car had been broken into at the Bell Vista apartments in Tacoma the night of June 10.

He has not been seen since he was released from the Pierce County Jail.

Hill is white, 6-feet 2 and 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be in Fircrest or Tacoma.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959. A reward of up to $1,000 is possible for tipsters who provide information leading to his arrest and charging.
