perozzoA warrant has been issued for a 49-year-old man suspected of robbing a bank in Tacoma last month.

Pierce County prosecutors have charged Ronald Perozzo with first-degree robbery. An anonymous tip relayed he planned to leave the state.

The holdup happened May 6 at a Key Bank branch at 8402 Pacific Ave. The robber lingered in the lobby for five minutes or so before approaching a teller and handing him a note demanding cash.

Once he had the money, he fled.

Police found a bag with a $20 bill and unknown item from the bank on nearby Croft Street.

Officers note in charging papers that Perozzo’s last known address is 188 feet from where the bag was found and his member card at Emerald Queen Casino was used the following day.

At least one witness was able to identify Perozzo in a photo lineup. However, a fingerprint found on the $20 bill did not match Perozzo.
