Tacoma Fire refers blaze in vacant house to police

Firefighters alerted Tacoma police about a house fire Wednesday that someone appeared to start from the inside, according to Tacoma Fire.

The blaze started in the bedroom of a vacant two-story house about 12:45 p.m. in the 500 block of South 38th Street.

Crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the second story of the house, which was under renovation.

The estimated damage is $3,300.
