A motorcyclist was injured Sunday on the Carbon River Bridge after rear-ending another motorcycle that stopped in traffic, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision happened about 3:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of state Route 162 at milepost 13.

The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old Puyallup man, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment. His 2007 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide motorcycle suffered serious damage.

The couple on the motorcycle that was rear-ended was not injured.

Troopers said all three were wearing helmets.
