The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified an Orting man killed in a homicide-suicide crash Monday in Graham as Steve Munson, 56.

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies said Munson died when 19-year-old Justin Bell drove a Ford Mustang more than 100 miles per hour and crashed into the pickup truck the 56-year-old was driving about 11 p.m. near Orting Kapowsin Highway East and 200th Street East.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies said Bell, of the Graham area, left a suicide note that said the teenager was going to drive his car into a pole.

Deputies ruled the crash a homicide-suicide.
