UPDATE: Bail for Williams was set at $25,000, according to King County prosecutors.

INITIAL POST: An NBA basketball player arrested Sunday in Kent for allegedly threatening his son’s mother with a gun will make his first court appearance this afternoon.

Terrence Williams, 25, a former Rainier Beach High School star who most recently played for the Boston Celtics, will appear in court at 2:30 p.m. to have bail set.

Officers took him into custody about 2 p.m. Sunday after a woman called to report he made threats and brandished a gun after an argument between the two escalated while handing off custody of their 10-year-old son downtown.

The investigation is ongoing.
