A 46-year-old South Hill man is in critical condition after his motorcycle crashed about 5 p.m. in the 7500 block of 176th Street East, and deputies are looking for witnesses to the wreck.

No other vehicles involved in the crash were found at the scene, on the border of Frederickson, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said, but skid marks indicate the man was stopping abruptly at the time of the wreck.

The man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital. He did not have any passengers on the bike, and was wearing a helmet, Troyer said.

Deputies ask anyone who may have information about the crash to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
