A girl suffered non life -threatening injuries at her Auburn home tonight when her 7-year-old brother accidentally shot her in the leg, according to Auburn police.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Auburn Way South.

The .22 caliber rifle was in the closet of a third sibling who was not home at the time, Cmdr. Mike Hirman said.

The girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center, and police are investigating whether to recommend charges for an adult, he said.
