Local clergy will gather this morning for a spiritual ceremony in honor of a 15-year-old Tacoma boy killed April 12 in a car crash in Point Defiance Park.

The Moment of Blessing for Alex Ramirez will be held at 10 a.m. in the park, 5400 N. Pearl St., at the Y in the road at Ft. Nisqually cutoff road.

The public is welcome.

Alex was in the backseat of a vehicle that went off Five Mile Drive and crashed into a tree. The 17-year-old driver, who was allegedly drinking beer before the accident, has been charged with vehicular homicide.
