Police, firefighters at scene of wreck at Point Defiance Park

UPDATE: A teenage boy riding in the car has died, Cool said. Three other people, two other teenage boys and a teenage girl, survived, she said.

PREVIOUS POST: Tacoma police and firefighters were called to Point Defiance Park this afternoon to investigate a single-car wreck along Five Mile Drive.

Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said someone in the car was critically injured, and authorities closed part of the road. The wreck occurred about 4:50 p.m.

Further details were not immediately available.
